importing DLT

Hi,
I want to know if I can import a legato created DLT from offsite (ie not created from one of my clients) into my tape library, restore it to one of my clients for forwarding via ftp

Look into the 'scanner' command. That should be able to add it to your indexes or just recover the savesets.

Yes, this is possible. However you must create the client before you can use scanner. If you cannot resolve the hostname, create an entry in the hosts table.

And of yourse you must use a device with the same block size.
