Hi

When I import spreadsheet into the Access 97 table, I get all my dates in the text format (for example 9/12/2002 would look like 37511) And Access wouldn't allow me to change the format from text to date/time

What should I do?
Thanks

Select the entire column in Excel, press CTRL+1, set the type to either Date or Custom (I usually go with mm/dd/yyyy).

Depending on the versions of Excel & Access you're using, it'll import as either a Date (best case) or a correctly-formatted string (worst case, but easily changed to Date).
