Hello.

I need some help. Here is the story. I have a had full of datbases from an SQL server. The SQL server and Goldmine used to be hosted on an ASP. Since then, we have moved from the ASP to inhouse. The ASP sent us the databases that we were using, directly from the data folder of MSSQL. Is there a way to import that data into Goldmine or SQL? I have both goldmine and MS SQL 2000 installed on my computer. Please help.

Hi,

Copy the database from your provider into your ...\MSSQL\Data directory. Launch Enterprise Manager
Go to the Databases section, right click select All Tasks, select Attach database, select your database click ok. You should now have your database in SQL.

Right click your database and select properties, go to the options tab and untick anything that mentions statistics.

Richard.

Once I get it that far, how do I import it into Goldmine and make it just like a flat file database that can be used on any computer without SQL?

Tried that, and they wont attach. Says they are not a valid SQL file. The file names have backup on them, so I am wondering if they somehow backed them up. Any ideas on what to do now?

Finally got them back into SQL. How do I get them now into Goldmine. Im totally lost on this one. Please help.
