Hello,

I'm setting up my DB with SQL Server 7 and I want one of the fields to hold medium sized articles (4000 or 5000 characters long) but none of the datatypes (text, char, varchar) allow me to copy and paste more than say 600 characters into it. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,

hi

I think varchar can hold nearly 8000 characters.Even nvarchar and ntext can hold equal characters.
