Importing data from Microsoft Access

Hi everyone,

I am an ACCESS programmer and am not very familiar with Microsoft Project. But I have been requested to import data from an Access table into Project.

This is probably a very simple question but anyway here goes. I tried to use the import wizard. I selected just "Tasks". When I got to the mapping part, there were no field names that matched my fields, so basically I used Text1, Text2, Date1 and Date2. When I clicked Finish, nothing was populated to the Task List.

What am I doing wrong?
