Importing data from an open program into excel

I have a program with spreadsheet-style data about mutual funds, but it does not have export capabilities. I'd like to distill some of the info, but I cannot create any kind of file that Excel can read. With ExcelXP, is there any way to import data from this program, similar perhaps to the functionality of the web query? Ideally I could pick and choose which tables to import, like web query.
