Importing contacts

Hi,
One of our guys in my office exported his addresses and it was saved with an rtf extention, now i am trying to import his contacts and it won't let me. I am using outlook 2003.

I know cvs get imported easliy, i am confused about this rtf extention. Please help, he is waiting on me.
