Is it possible for me to import a Word document as an Access report? At the moment I have an existing MS Word document that is completed manually after a manual process.

I am working on a database to record this information, and still need to produce the same report at the end of it. The report is quite complex (number of fields) and so it would be much easier if I could import it into MS Access.

I know I can export to MS Word from Access (thanks to the FAQ's on this site) but can't find much about importing as a report. Would I need to save my MS Word document as a template and then import? or is this not possible?

Thanks.

Let me look into this with you, because I am going back and forth on the same issue. I have about 30 mail merge documents, and I am wondering if I should just make them all reports instead. Don't know which will run faster.

Anyway, one way would be to convert the word document to an image, give that it is 1 page. PDF it and then the pdf can be saved as a jpg. Then make that a bacground for the access report. Just be careful about the merge fields. i will play around and see if I can find anyting else.
