Importing a pst file into outlook

I want to import a pst file from a cd into outlook, but it keeps blocking me. How can I achive this?

I am trying to use outlook express to open it, but that isn't working. I saved my email on disc before leaving my last job and need to access these emails.

The first thing is to copy it from the cd onto your hard drive somewhere so that the file is not read-only. Next, don't try to open it directly, use OE's import function. Lastly, how was this .pst file created - is it from Outlook or Outlook Express?

it was created in outlook. I have both on my computer and have tried to import it after saving it on my hard drive, but still getting the same error.

Make sure that the file is not 'read-only'.
