hi forum!

had a real awkward artwork file today at work, no surprise there really. quite a large psd file was placed onto a complex vector background, i had six seemingly identical banners supplied in CS2, all about A3 size, four of them would print great, no white backgorunds, all lovely transparent psd's with only a drop shadow from photoshop. the last two refused to keep it's transaprency, resulting in an unwanted white background, though not extending to the entire image size, only a portion of it. i went through the layers and layers and clipping masks etc to root it out, tried releasing clipping layers, deleting seemingly unused paths, everything i could think of really. i may have not looked hard enough perhaps but just couldn't find the problems cause. as under pressure from a screaming boss, decided to just rasterize both problem files very high and output to our sherpa.

anyone come across this before, i even tried resaving the psd to update the link again, this resulted in the image moving, not helpful. tried embedding them to see if that would help, same result.

..really puzzled, puzzledness and stress = madness, send me home! : )

any help really appreciated!

andrew

PS: yes, also played about with the export transparency functions in eps dialogue, to no success either.
