Imported images breaking up, (using exact pixels)

Dear Group

I am importing gifs (although it happens regardless of original format). On viewing the SWF the images are breaking up. The worst one on this movie is the "Accident Group" graphic. If I break apart the image in Flash before converting to a symbol no difference. Same with using exact pixels.

Ouch - you need a preloader! Um, this is a pretty common problem with graphics, although it usually occurs where either the image itself is moving, or something else is moving over the image. Here's the 2 fixes I know of:

1. When you put the image on stage, check its dimensions, break it apart and then look at its dimensions again. Changes slightly? Well, resize it to the proper proportions using the INFO panel, then group the image (or convert it to a graphic symbol).

2. If that didn't work, try this one. Change the alpha percentage of the image on stage to 99%. Someone told me this works, although I have never had to try it personally.
