For all Avaya IP Office Release 7.0 installations that occurred after 12 September 2011, Avaya is providing a no-cost upgrade to Release 8.0.
An issue has been identified where Avaya IP Office Release 7.0 systems that choose to upgrade to Release 8.0 in the 90-day entitlement window using just the Release 8.0 software will revert to Basic Edition 90 days after initial installation.
Avaya will be releasing a Release 8.0 up-issue that will address this problem.
In the meantime, contact your distributor for assistance in upgrading to Release 8.0.
