Importance of Joining the Domain

I never add it to the Corp Domain as you then have to deal with the Corp IT dept and what they have setup. There are advantages to doing so but it depends on each install. If the system is a member of the Corp Domain then you can add users to the list so they can admin the subscriber options.
Other than that i can't think of any other reason to do it.
