Import XML into Access 2000

I've seen many similar questions here without any answers.
That's probably because there isn't an answer, at least not one you want to hear.
Access 2000 doesn't provide a one-step import of XML documents. If you want to do this, you're stuck writing your own program (in VBA, VB, Delphi,...) to parse the XML document and populate a database.
