Import/Update question

i want to import from a csv to my cf application

i got cfftp working to grab the file from our erp system, i got an import working using this tutorial:

now i'm stuck trying to figure out how to do a cfif to update the record or insert the records if they do not exist, i'm sure its simple i just cant find it on google for some reason
