Import Text RTF or .DOC filetypes?

Hi guys,

Do i loose some information of a .doc file text for importing to InDesign if i save it as .RTF filetype?

I have a text from Microsoft Word in .doc file type which have Tracked Changes active. I accept all changes and save it. Nevertheless i cannot imported to InDesign CS4. The import text turn out to be a blank text box and the ID text editor (yellow) have nothing in it.

ps: i work with Indesign CS4, Mac OSX 10.6, Word 2007.
