How do you import a table from an as400 that has periods in the table name?

are you sure the periods are in the table name and are not the library indicator? In most cases something like HRBLAH.HREMPMF means that the table HREMPMF is in the library HRBLAH, it's like a directory structure.

Yes, I am sure. It looks like library.bl.table. library is the library name and the table is bl.table.

That would probably work, but it's not letting me type anything. It is just showing me what tables I can link to. I am just right clicking in a table menu and clicking on link tables.

so if you click on a table does it not link or do you get an error message?

I get an error message that says bl.table is not a valid name. Make sure it does not include invalid characters. Obviously a period is an invalid character, but I didnt know if there was someother way around it.
