Import Quickbasic files

My user has a number of valuable archive files that were written in Quickbasic, contain compressed numeric data and have a .tbl extension.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can convert/import these files to gain access to the data they contain, and ulimately store it in an Access database.

I'm at my wits' end with this problem.
