Hello all,
I really need a help on this one.
I have a Oracle 9 database and I need to import it to my local database using Oracle 8.1.7.

I export the Oracle9 database with 8.1.7 export tools and it worked fine. When I import the dmp file to a 8.1.7 database, an error occured:

Connected to: Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.7.0.1 - Production
JServer Release 8.1.7.0.1 - Production

Export file created by EXPORT:V08.01.07 via conventional path

import done in US7ASCII character set and US7ASCII character set
export server uses WE8ISO8859P1 NCHAR character
set (possible ncharset conversion)
IMP-00017: following statement failed with ORACLE error 4068:
"BEGIN SYS.DBMS_REPCAT_MIG.PRE_IMPORT; END;"
IMP-00003: ORACLE error 4068 encountered
ORA-04068: existing state of packages has been discarded
ORA-04067: not executed, package body "SYS.DBMS_REPCAT_UTL" does not exist
ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_REPCAT_MIG", line 94
ORA-06512: at line 1
IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully

I have tried to run catrepr.sql, catrep.sql, utlrp.sql, and catalog.sql in my 8.1.7 database, but the problem still exists.

Anyone know how to solve this? I have wasted too much time for this one and the deadline is near. Urgent..!

Thanks for the answers, I really appreciate this.
