I import PowerPoint file into Director8. In a minute,
I get "PowerPoint import options," which already has
default numbers for "slide spacing, min frame duration,
item spacing, fly transitions," all of which is a
mystery to me in the first place. Anyway, I hit "ok,"
and get: "Error occurred. Argument out of valid range."

Even the default numbers are "out of range"? I don't
get it. What's the "range"? What are these numbers?
I'm quite on stall trying to figure all this out.

Can U. help?

Thanks, in advance, from MollyB

I solved this problem yesterday. Apparently, Director has a limit on the size of the PowerPoint file. My tests show the limit is between 9 and 20 MB. Breaking the PowerPoint presentation into smaller pieces worked for me. Haven't found a reference addressing this issue.
