Hello All,

I am in need of assistance, I need to be able to import automatically multiple excel files in a directory, each file has 1 named sheet inside and when it imports into a new work book I need the sheets to stay intact and separate.
For example : workbook1 has a sheet named Daily, workbook2 has a sheet named Weekly, and workbook3 has a sheet named Monthly. When they get imported into the new workbook it must have the data sheets separated Daily, Weekly, Monthly.

Now once that is accomplished I also want it to where it appends the data in the new workbook. Yes the excel files in the directory will be new each day so when the import runs it actually is getting new data but appending it to the existing workbook with all the data from previous imports.

Let me know if this is possible please, thanks.

Hi,

This question should be posted in forum707, since it requires a VBA (macro) solution.

I would do this using a Query and VBA. It seems that you really don't want the SHEET, but rather the DATA ON THE SHEET. And I assume that yesterday's daily and today's daily have NO ROWS IN COMMON. Further I assume that the DAILY changes daily, the WEEKLY changes weekly and the MONTHLY changes monthly, so that those sheets would need to be queried on each respective period.

Skip,

[glasses]Just traded in my old subtlety...
for a NUANCE![tongue]

Thanks Skip, would you know how to build that or should I still post it in the advised forum707: VBA Visual Basic for Applications? Also you were correct in assuming that the daily's data changes every day and also have no rows in common, that's why i want to append it in the new sheet.

Thanks again.
