Hi there

I have been given 7 files that all have an .123 extention. I believe them to be SmartSuite lotus spreadsheet files, which I am trying to open in Excel. I do not have the lotus software to open and then convert them, so I am looking for some help. I need to find a utility that has the ability to open lotus spreadsheets with the extension .123 I have found several utilities, but none that recognize the .123 only Wk#..... I just need to get these files open, I don't care at this point what they are converted into.

thanks for taking the time to look. And thanks in advance for anyone with suggestions.

Sorry, pessimist, but I think you are going to have the same trouble I did.

Unless you can open them in SS and save them as XL, you are SOL.

How big are they and how sensitive is the info?

Hi Ken

As far as I know, the info is not confidential, but I will check and get back to you later today. I really only need one file in the next week or so and it's about 400kb.

cheers

I'll happily convert the lot for you if you like, assuming it's a simple open in 123 and save down in Excel format. Filesizes of that ilk are no issue as I am on Cable anyway. Your call:-

Only caveat I'd throw in is that I work for Lockheed Martin as their Senior pricing Analyst, so just be sure it's nothing that I shouldn't be seeing. Not that I'd use anything that inadvertantly came my way, but I'd hate for you to do anything you shouldn't.

If it's in the next couple of hours or so I should be able to send it straight back for you in Excel format.

Hi Ken

It turns out that there is some confidential data on the file and I will not be able to send it to you. But I thank you for your offer and for your time.

cheers
Have a great weekend

No problem. Your only avenue I believe will be to find someone that has a copy of Lotus Millenium who you can have see the file, and have them open it in there, and then save it down as an Excel file.

If push really comes to shove and they relent on that in order to get the data, then the offer stands open.

With a Bank Holiday at the end of it (UK), my weekend should be long and good, so hopefully yours is too.

Best Wishes
Ken..............
