I have a table in Excel and it is full of hyperlinks to various places on the server, webpages, etc. when I link or import the table it drops all the hyperlinks. Anybody have any ideas how I can bring the table in with its hyperlinks?

Thanks in advance

Since the import of Excel Data is really dumb in Access, I would save the file as text and then import it and specify the field type as hyperlink when going through the text import wizard.

If you have not used any display text, I imagine this will work other wise you will need to get the display text and address of the column before dumping to text.

You want to arrive at text that looks like this...

Display Text#Address#

Hyperlinks (in Access anyways) use the hash (#) to delimit parts of a hyperlink (Display text, Address, and subaddress - specific place in target document.)

I am not an Excel expert so I am not sure how you would get at the pieces to make the appropriate text. The whole minute I put into it did not turn up anything [wink]

If you figure it out, I would like to see the code though.
