Hi,

I am having difficulty trying to import a text file into access. It cuts the import off at 12,712 rows and I know that there is way more than that in the txt file. Any suggestions?

Have a look at File > Get External Data > Import.

You can also use TransferText.

Hope this works.

Have you considered the FileSystemObject and a Text Stream or the Open statement?

Actually,

I was wondering if there is code or something that works smoother for pulling in txt data. I did what acent said and that is where it wasn't working. file/data/import did not work. It left out most of the data. The txt file is 1800KB.

Where are you storing the text? If in a table what type of information is set for that particular field?

Check Help for the two methods I mentioned. Both will allow you to read a text file using VBA.
