I'll give as much information as I can in hopes that someone can assist or has gone through this before.

I have a multi-page PDF file with some fillable fields on it. I also have an xml file that I exported from a Visual FoxPro table with about 300 records of standard information (first, last, mid, etc.) I need a way to import those records into this PDF file so that I can print the 300 multi-page documents and send them to the individuals.

1. The PDF file can not be exported back to a MS Word file. I'm familiar with Word/Mail Merge, but unfortunately that is not an option. The PDF file simply does not convert well and the original creator of the file will not give it to me in Word Format. (Federal bureaucrats!)

2. This will all be done locally (and if necessary, manually). No web servers, asp, yadda yadda involved.

3. I am using Adobe Acrobat Professional version 8.

4. I have tried the: Forms -> Manage Form Data -> Import Data option and nothing seems to happen at all.

I will be eternally grateful and thank you in advance to anyone that can assist me as time is of the essence.

Dan,
A few questions before I can be helpful. Was the form built in Acrobat or LiveCycle Designer?

If it was built in Acrobat - it is known as an AcroForm:
In order for the XML file to import into the Acrobat form all field names must match exactly. They are case sensitive. You will need to modify the XML element tags to match the field names in the Acrobat form or edit the field names to match the XML file. Not much else you can do about it.

If the form was built in LiveCycle Designer - it is known as an XFA form and has more capabilites connecting it to XML files.

Please advise if you are still looking for assistance.
