Hi all, every time I try to import an Excel speard sheet into an Access table (existing or new), a few thousand empty record always show up in the resulting table followed by all of the correct data (around 1000 records). This is quite annoying, is there a way to fix this? Thank you in advance!

Yes - it is all the problem of Excel trying to be a baby database

It thinks it knows where the data is store and defines it's own 'DataBase' area on the sheet.

When you IMPORT you get the full length of what it thinks of as the database.

To fix it you need to explicitly tell Excel where the real data ends
