Does anyone know how to import bookmarks from netscape into IE 6 via command prompt or script? Our IT dept. has been told to remove netscape from all computers and we would like to automate the process as much as possible.

Thanks

MS have a tool for doing this - FavTool.

"You can also use the Bookmarks Converter tool to automatically convert Netscape Navigator bookmarks to shortcuts on the Favorites menu in Internet Explorer for Windows 95. The Bookmarks Converter tool is available as a file named Favtool.exe."

It should also apply to IE6 and later versions of Windows.

Actually: File, Import and Export Wizard, should handle the job.

The difficulty is that Netscape and IE store the favorites in different forms, so a conversion is necessary.

I will download the bookmark converter and see if that meets my needs

The file,Import and Export wizard does work except I need to do this from a command prompt.

Thanks
