I have an access DB on the external server that hosts our companies website. I need to be able to have a couple of coworkers to be able to view, modify, and update the database without having to learn how to use an ftp program to download/upload information.

I've got permission set on the webserver so that permissions are correct, but I am still unable to import tables and link lists between the two DBs. I think I may need a driver(OBDN OBDC, something like that) installed on the office computer. If anybody can help it would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Nicholas Henry

The simpliest (is that spelled right?) is to set up a Citrix server so they can login remotely and use the Access Database directly.

If you want to learn something, create DAP's (Data Access Pages). If you look at your database window on the left you'll see a button for Pages. That's it. What actually happens is that you'll be creating HTML (.htm) or web pages. These can be read-only or updatable. If you try it, remember to be updatable you MUST include the primary key on the DAP. Also, if you want to have your DAP's work like forms, ie. pass data between them, you need to write code in VBScript. That the language to use an Internet Explorer environment.

I'll bet, though, that the IT department will want you to use ASP. Very few IT groups know about DAP's that use XML.

Is there any way you could give me more info about setting up the Citrix server? I tried the DAPs but the company the I'm hosting with wouldn't set up their server so that I could use them. My fellow co-workers also would prefer to work in an Actual MS Access environment.

You might as well go to the experts -
Told you about the IT deparment talking you out of DAP's. That's because they haven't studied them.
