hi, i have a few extracts in .csv format updated daily.

I am open to all suggestions.

I'd like to keep the tables in Access updated. Do I have to import the data and delete the table every day? If so, is there a way to schedule such a task automatically?

If not, I try linking the tables but it has a lot of limitations in terms of processing (updating/deleting) the data.

Thanks.

If your CSV file is updated on a daily basis, then in order to keep the Access part up to date you will need to import it in every time.

With regards to speeding it up, where does the CSV come from? Could Access take the data straight from the original source rather than use the interim CSV export?

Access itself has no easy way of scheduling tasks to run at specific times. However, you could write an Access database and schedule it with the Windows scheduler. It would need to run without user intervention and record the output so you could check that it did in fact work properly.
