Someone has written a package which we plan to get some of our customers to use!

Problem is it exports and emails all data in comma delimited form!!!

What i want to do is get our staff to copy these files to say, the network in a temp file, then on our intranet/internet somewhere have an import page where at the press of a button the data is imported and shoved into the database.

Also before the data is trusted to be imported, we want to view it first!!

I'm not sure when working with comma delimited data, never have worked with it!!

Cheers and Stuff

davesmith,

When you work with comma delimited data, you have to be aware that your data does not have commas like:

Lastname, Firstname

It just throws everything off. Try making the delimiter something that is hardly used like "^".
