import *.cat files into director

i'm trying to import an *.cat file (3d graphic of an engine) made with pro engenier (latest version) into an director - stage ...

director knows this kind of file, imports it correctly but shows an error message if i whant to open it (there is also nothing to see; just the icon of the *.cat-file)...

need help!
