Import and Export Data 1

I am trying to import data once daily from a flat file, into an existing SQL database that was created for it.

Some records will be new, some may have changed. I am wanting the new records to be appended to the database, and the modified records to be replaced.

Am I correct that the 'Import and Export Data' application is incapable of doing this? If it can, are the Delete and/or Identity options involved? I've been unable to get it to do what I want. If not possible, can you direct me to something that will work?

Yes, Import wizard can not do that.
You should consider SQL Server Integration services and build package that can handle the file.

Sounds like you're looking for an "upsert." I've written about that. You'll want to skip the first section (which is about how you do it in Visual FoxPro).
