Hi, I am a "Foxpro" guy who has to be able to extract data from an Access (mdb) database on a daily basis going forward. I can't seem to get either version of Foxpro (I have both 2.6 and 7.0) to be able to open or convert the Access file into something I can use with Foxpro. Am I just an idiot or is this really hard to do? Thanks in advance, Chris.

If I create a blank database (VFP7.0) and modify it, and right-mouse in it, it allows my to create a connect on MS Access database.

Clattmann,
Technically what Mike is describing is a Remote View into an Access Table. Check the help file topic on Remote Views for some more details.

Alternately - Run the Remote View Wizard:

1) From the Wizards submenu on the Tools menu, choose Query.
2) In the Wizard Selection dialog box, choose Remote View Wizard.

If you need to grap the 'same' data out of the 'same' Access Database everyday, I'd suggest writing an program to shoulder the workload.

Either automate a save-as-delimited file and autmatically import or look into thread184-263139 for an ODBC solution.
