Is there a good component, or anything for that matter, that gives me the ability to suck in tables/queries from an Access 2000 DB into my PervasiveV8 DB?

Thanks

There aren't any specific components that can do it that I am aware of. However, Access does support exporting to ODBC and I've had fairly good luck with it.

Yeah, I have been using the export, but there ar 4 tables where I think event though the fields are of the same type, they differ in length. I keep getting a "Record is too large" error. I cut the table down into 8 different tables all totalling 1000 records each and I get the same error. Any ideas on this one, am I correct in assuming its a conflict in datatype lengths?

Thanks

What's the record length? What kind of fields are you exporting in these 4 tables? What field types (and lengths) are common to all 4 tables?

one table in specific, 7995 records.

autonumber (Long Integer)
text (no more than 70 in length)
memo (65,5##, imported fine in other tables)
date/time (8 in length)
yes/no (0/-1 values, fine in other tables)
Number (Long Integer and Byte)

if figured at first the table name was more than 20 in length, don't know why - maybe he liked typing, so i shortened it down to 8. I am playing with the data types right now to see if there is some property there that may tweak it out.

thanks

I think the memo-field may be a big problem. I tried a lot using longvarchar-fields, but I didn't get any satisfying results, if my field was longer than 4k.
