I have 20 Windows 98 SE Computers that are currently connected to a Windows NT 4.0 Server. The Win98 computers log into the NT4 machine to get policy files and mapped drive info, etc.
I recently acquired Windows 2000 Adv. Server. I would like to upgrade the NT4 Server to Win2k.
While testing Win2k at home with a WinME computer, I am unable to have the WinME computer to impliment the user policy. Computer policies are implimented without a problem, however, which narrows down the error that the policy file isn't being read.
I am implimenting the policies by place a config.pol file in the netlogon share on the server. I have only the documentation here on the internet to go by for information on setting up/using Win2k. What way is the most "convienient" to use when setting up the policies. Does Win2k allow you to set these up differently than in WinNT 4.0?
Thank you very much in advance. I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide in this matter.
