Are there any "gotchas" to changing the security level of an existing Post office? Will external entities, nicknames, etc. work the same?

sstoppel, I generally set all post offices to use LDAP. It's much easier to use and manage.

If there is a gotcha, it's that anything that needs to login to the post office will need an eDir login/password associated with it.. You shouldn't have any problems with nicknames. Not sure about external entities.

Also, during the conversion, you will undoubtedly have users that won't understand when you tell them to use their Novell password. So they'll bug the hell out of you because thier groupwise password doesn't work anynmore.

Thanks Marvin. I did it in a lab environment and didn't see anything wierd, but I thought I would throw it out there. The lack of responses other than yours - well, no news is good news I guess. We are doing this to implement GWAnywhere for a bunch of Treo users - for liveconnect push to work it seems that the PW for GW and NDS have to be the same. This will enforce it.
