I'm charged with adding 1 WLAN Handset 6140 to our exisitng system.

I added a WLAN 2245 (By basically assigning an IP, Subnet, and gateway).

I configured the phone according to the documentation on the website.

I'm using a Linksys WAP54G in Mixed B&G Mode
as my wifi.

I can ping the WLAN 2245 but no or intermittent ping to the phone which I manually configured.

I need to:
1) resolve the networking issue, then...
2) proviosion this phone with an extension (or TN).

Any guidance or suggestions would be apprecated, I have no support contract or anything, jumping in cold-turkey and litterally have only the WLAN 2245 and the 6140 handset, and an existing, functioning system. (No HAT, etc)

What config did you do to the 6140?

If you are getting intermittent ping then you must have a device that is dropping packets - so yes, figure out your network issue.
Have you tried a tracert to see if there is just large delay?
