Hi

We have a win2000 server & we are using Symantec corporate
edition with multitier protection . Which is working for anti virus protection.

But i am not able to configure the symantec gateway protection . The local domain is also acting
as Mail server which downloads mail from pop3 email accounts from the web host site on internet & distribute to the clients .

We are Mdaemon for this purpose right now .
This domain is connected to Internet also with DSL modem to
perform internet functions . So all the mails from Mdaemon is fired using this domain only .

Can anyone tell me what should be the routing & smtp port setting in symantec gate way protection when local domain in an organisation is acting as smtp gateway protection , mail server .

Pls revert back

Regards

are you using Symantec Antivirus for SMTP gateways v3.x?

If so, i have mine configured to route as follows:

mydomain.com->xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:2025

where the x's are my domains IP address.

Hope this helps.

sorry, maybe unclear - the x's are my mail servers IP.
