I have a A1000 attached to a Sun Netra 1125 via scsi.
The Netra recognizes the A1000. I have Raid Manager 6.22.
I am going to do a fresh install of Solaris 8.
Questions:
What is the best way to implement Raid V?
The A1000 has eight disk, should I make it one large disk?
How should I make the partitions? slices?
Should I make a boot partition? If so how?
Usually I just install Solaris on one or two disks and make the first disk partitoned rugular (/,/export/home,/var,) the second disk as another partition (opt).
I would like to know the proper way to implement RAID.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure, but the place I work for has two T3s, 1TB total storage. In order to get it work, we interconnected the two, which have 9 disks in each.

I'm not sure what software you're using to do this, but we had to purchase "Volume Manager" in order to create one big volume.

I don't think that is your question though, just something I wanted to point out in case you don't have it.
