implementing NFS

hi friends,
me again.... At present for each of my PRI cards (PRIVATE TIE) i configure one D channel adn is runnign fine.
I have heard of NFAS facility. CAn u guys tell me how exactly to implement it.

I would like to have only one primary Dchannel and one back up Dchannel to control all the LOOPS berween the Option 11c's.

I tired to configure the D channels in this way.
But when i make calls through the LOOP for which there is no associated D-channel of that LOOP, i cannot hear the ringing sound at the far ned or hear the voice of the person. But the person at that end says that he can hear the Rining sound there.

What must be the reason? .Can u guys advice me on this regard

The PRI prompt in the DCHannel setup is the Key.

IF your Primary T1 is loop 12 and you Backup T1 is Loop 32 and your 3rd T1 is loop 13 and your 4th t1 is loop 33 - the set up would be:

PRI: 13 2
PRI: 33 3

Your Primay T1 id is 0 automaticly when you respond:
DCH: 12

Your Backup T1 id is 1 automaticly when you respond:
BDCH: 32

The next very importand step is to make sure T1s 1,2,3,and 4 are connected to the correct loops at both ends.
T1 1 = Primary Loop
T1 2 = Backup
t1 3 = Loop with id 2 assigned
T1 4 = Loop with id 3 assigned

Thank u for ur reply, I did exaclty what u have told me.
iN MY CASE IT WAS IT WAS 2 e1 PRI.
I made PRI 5 and 6 loops
5 as dch and 6 as bdch

when the calls go through the 5th loop there is no problem
It if the call is zeizing a channel on the 6th card then i cannot hear anything every thing sounds blank (no busy tone even) I cannot hear the rings at the FAR side. But the person at the FAR side is abel ot hear the rings there. He picls up the call also. But i can never hear his voice. Neither he could hear my voice.

I hope u got my problem. Help me out firends
