It looks like Vista and Windows 7 don't support hlp file anymore. Anyway, i would like to create either a hlp or chm manual file and have a link under the help menu. How do I do that? What utility should I use?
There's an option under the project's option that ask you were the help file is located. Not sure what it does to the program.
Thanks for any help.

You can download WINHLP32 at

Though officially, HLP is not supported in Vista and subsequent windows versions. As you will see in reading, third-party applications are not authorized to distribute this file.

See for more info on HTML help.

To bring up a CHM file from a link (e.g. "Help"), create a process with no waiting using the command-line:
Code:
hh myhelpfile.chm

Context-sensitive help is a lot tougher and would require more discussion and some code examples (I kind of want to do that with the TSysTrayIcon and TDirBrowseDialog components I posted in here).

Measurement is not management.

And dependent on the Delphi version you want. I understand Delphi does support CHM natively after a certain point, so you will probably need to include that information if the discussion goes further.

Thanks. I did find a while back a zip files that would add back the help into windows 7. The only thing is that the search tab is gone.
I will look into the html file. I guess I'll also google for a chm builder.
Appreciate your input..
