I am on a Solaris running Oracle 9i and am running a third party interface (Inglenet) to access Oracle. We are trying to implement a new interface, our own. I want to write the calls in "C" using OCI and Connetion Pooling, but do not know how to implement this. I have read the Oracle Documentation and am just not getting how to go about this.

I understand that certain calls are needed to create the pool, but is this done in every program or in a middle tier. Then, how to access the middle tier?

Any and all examples would help, since I am a visual person and need examples.

Thanks in advance,

Bill
