Can someone advise me how I go about achieving this?

In Tools\Options\IDE tab, I have un-ticked the Word wrap box and ticked the Syntax coloring box.

I'm assuming that that is all I need to do, but it isn't taking effect when I then double-click a memo field to open it for editing.

Is there some other action else I need to take? What am I missing?

Thanks,

Stewart

OK, I found that you have to also set this from the Edit\Properties menu item when you have a memo field open.

I still don't see why you have to do 2 things though!!

Actually, what happened was that change properties for a memo field only applies to that individual field. It doesn't even take effect on other memo fields in the same table.

So I go back to my original question - how do I ensure get syntax coloring and Intellisense to work in memo fields globally?

Thanks,

Stewart

Stewart,

In VFP9 go to Tools->Options->IDE. Change Specify file/window to Memo Fields and check Syntax coloring.

Regards,
Jim

Just activate the checkbox "Override individual Settings", then you don't have to change it for each and every Memo (or whatevery ou set the options for...).

Bye, Olaf.
