Hi guys.
"I`m going to implement Macintosh services"
I dont know anything about Macintosh, and even then, they put me on this job. I really hope some of you are able to help me on this one.
I have to find out, how:
1. How Macintosh services for win2000 is to be installed
2. What demands is there
3. How Macintosh services is function, so i can configure the workstation
I would more than happy for all help I can get here, and the job has to be finished at Tuesday next week. So please come with all help until then.
Thanks

After you have installed Macintosh services you should be able to see the server, go to Apple Menu, Chooser and select AppleShare. You should then be able to see the server in the window on the right.

You will need to setup the users as you would on a PC, ie there user names and passwords.

You then need to setup shares from the Server. Go to Administrator tools, Computer managment console. Go to Shared folders/Shares. You should be able to then setup shares from there.

You can then go back to chooser and you should be able to know see the shares. Once you have double clicked on the server and entered user name and Password.

The only option that I would change o the Macs is to force the macs to use IP. Makes copying and using the volumes quicker. If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.

What are you installing mac services on? Win2k, NT, or server? To install is simple, you just add it to the networking components as you would any other service in NT.
You really need not know anything about Macs to set it up on the server side. Just create the shares and set permissions. ________
Remember, you're unique... just like everyone else.
