I have a simple web app that copies files from one folder to another on the web.

I have the impersonate set to true with my user and pword hardcoded in the webconfig. However, I don't want to leave it that way for production.

How can I impersonate the user's windows username for file copying? There is no login page. Will I need one?

Yes, you will need some sort of login mechanism so the app knows who to impersonate.
