Hello,

I have to filter several reports to match a list of calendar data. I would like to store and edit the dates in a simple textfile.
Is it possible to set a filter in the Impromptu reports by using the textfile data. Maybe in an expression like IN("data_from_file"). But I don't want a prompt which I have to confirm. (Otherwise there would be no problem)

Many thanks in advance!

Best regards from Germany,
ahstyx.

One Option:
Write a catalog that generates a HotFile using the text file as a source.
Add the HotFile to your Catalog, and write a report against it. Now use the report as a Dataset in your filter.

I am what I am based on the decisions I have made.

Hello DoubleD,

thanks for the help. I'll try this out. But I would prefer a solution without editing the catalog, because it is delivered by a business-partner and I have to make the changes again everytime we get an update.
