I have a customer with magix 2.2, avaya messaging. They have a calling group that plays an announcement 1, queues up calls, plays moh, then plays announcement 2 that gives them the option to hold or press # to opt out. The opt out currently transfers to an AA that instructs callers to press 1(Customers way of getting the call transfered off site to an answering service). 1 transfers to an extension that is forwarded off site to the answering service.

Is there a way to automate the forwarded off site transfer at the point of when the announcement 2 plays?

Thanks.

Well, You can change the PROMPT BASED OVER FLOW (#) to go to the Forwarded Extension instead of the AA.

There may be issues with that, but that's why you will go there and change it and then and see what happens.

(However, I'd be willing to bet it would work as smooth as silk)

I'm not quite sure how to do that. Doesn't the overflow have to be a calling group? I tried to put the overflow scenerio on the workbench to forward to an extension, but it wouldn't take it.
