I have recently found that the archive folders in the In and Out of IMCDATA are HUGE! 1.98 and 2.07 gig. None of the data is from 2000. It is all 1998 and 1999 data. Can I jsut wipe these out. My thought is that they are from previous maintenance and diag. logging that was being done.

Stop the IMC and MTA. Move the archive folders from both In and Out folders of IMCData. Restart services and check Event Viewer.

This SHOULD work fine, however you may not get any problems until you next do an archive (90 days by default I think) so don't delete the files until then.

Check what Exchange loggings are enabled, you might logging something that you do not now or need.
