IMB - USPS Barcode Conversion

Does anyone have a VB6 solution to decode a USPS Intelligent mail barcode?

Ex. - DFTDTTTTDFDDAFTAAATFAFAFTTTTDADTDDTTAFFDDDTFAFFDATFTATAATFTTAFDTT

Basically convert it to its numeric translation. I found a few online converters but it only does one at a time. I need to do this in bulk.

Hah - not even USPS has their own (they point you at third party products ...) Interestingly, their own documentation states that decoding is hard and, bizarrely, unreliable ...
