IMAP on windows 2008 server

Hi everyone, I am not a server guy. I am a telephone system installer. The reason that I am posting here is because we use windows servers to load the voicemail software and the windows box becomes the voicemail server.

Usually it isn't a problem but recently they approved the 2008 windows server for a application that sends voice messages to a IMAP folder in outlook and it isn't working.

The server is also a web server, this is working just great, but i don't think i am applying all the right roles of settings.

I keep getting a TCP/IP error and the IMAP folder goes offline.

I hope someone can help.... Thank You in advance for any input.

Have you down loaded and installed the Mapi and CDO client?

You am pretty sure you would probably need to install this on the server.
